Terms, Conditions & Privacy

These terms and conditions of service are effective from 1st May 2023.

If you book any service from Rachael Clift, from Teach Dog, you are agreeing to these terms of service.

Bookings

  • All fees must be paid at the time of booking, no booking is confirmed until the fee has been paid. You are advised to book your sessions as soon as you have paid to ensure that times between session are optimised.

  • All training bookings must be completed within 12 weeks

  • All behaviour bookings must be completed within 26 weeks.

    Cancellations

  • All single training appointments can be rescheduled once only and 48 hours notice must be given. If the rescheduled appointment does not go ahead then the booking will be cancelled and no refund given.

  • The Puppy Plan allows for two rescheduled appointments, with 48 hours notice. If the rescheduled appointments do not go ahead, the booking will be cancelled and no refund given.

  • Loose Leaders and Reliable Recalls can be rescheduled once, with 48 hours notice. If the rescheduled appointment does not go ahead then the booking will be cancelled and no refund given.

  • Behaviour Support Plans can be rescheduled once, with 48 hours notice. If the rescheduled appointment does not go ahead then the booking will be cancelled and no refund given.

  • For any rescheduled appointment - if 48 hours notice is not given then the client will lose that appointment.

    Termination of Contract

  • Any cancellation within 48 hours of the first paid appointment (whether online or in person) will incur the full fee of the service booked.

  • Cancellation of the service between 14 days of the first paid appointment (whether online or in person) and 48 hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations of the entire booking more than 14 days from the first paid appointment (whether online or in person) will receive a full refund.

  • If you rehome your dog after training has commenced, no refund will be given for sessions not used.

  • If the client chooses to cancel the service once training has commenced, for any reason, no refund will be given for sessions not used.

  • Teach Dog reserves the right to terminate the contract (at any time, with immediate effect and with no refund) if the client, or anyone associated with them, is abusive towards Teach Dog.

  • Teach Dog reserves the right to terminate the contract (at any time, with immediate effect and with no refund) if the dog does not respond to training as expected and continuing is deemed to be an unacceptable risk.

  • If the client is non compliant or withholds essential information from Teach Dog, the contract will be terminated and no refund will be given.

  • All refunds will be given via the same method that payment was made. Please allow 7 working days for refunds to be processed.

    General

  • If a client is more than twenty minutes late to any session, and they haven’t communicated with Teach Dog, the session will be cancelled and no refund given.

  • If a client is late to a session, then the session will be shorter by the amount of time they were late.

  • Teach Dog cannot be held liable for any losses of any kind that arise from this contract or the provision of our services save for death or personal injury caused by negligence. this clause does not attempt to avoid any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

  • Teach dog will apply person judgement and cut short a training session if deemed necessary due to, but not limited to, extreme weather, the dog not coping well or other reason outside of our control.

  • The methods used by Teach Dog are ethical, kind and scientific. Instant results however are unlikely and success requires long term commitment to the training plan by owners, outside of the formal training sessions.

  • Dogs must be kept under control at all times. Any injury caused by your dog will be your full responsibility.

  • In some cases we will use stooge dogs. You, the owner, are responsible for keeping your dog a safe distance from the stooge dog and under control.

  • In the case of all behavioural issues you give your consent for us to contact your vet on your behalf if necessary.

    Privacy

  • Teach Dog collects personal information about clients in order to provide our services effectively. Teach Dog will provide you with a full copy of the information we hold about you. Please email teachdog@yahoo.com to request this. On request we will delate all information we have about you. All personal information is kept securely and all reasonable steps taken to prevent misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
